From time to time I will do these updates for those who want to know how I am doing or what is going on with me health wise.
Had a great Eye Dr appointment (yes, you read that correctly) on Friday. I had an issue with my right eye, something called Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO). It manifested as a pretty big floater, and a feeling in my right eye like I was looking through a sheet of dusty plastic, so while my vision wasn't blocked at all, it was impacted. The treatments for CRVO are the stuff of my nightmares. Laser, injections in my eyeballs etc (the funny part is that I am more worried about the thing that holds my eye lid open than the lasers or the injections. I am very sensitive around my eyes.)
The good news? Its all getting much better on its own with no additional treatments. That was HUGE news for me!!!! A huge relief and made me so thankful that my vision is back to normal with no needles, lasers, or eye lid opening apparati! (I am not sure that's a word)
That was pretty much it for last week. This week I have a blood test tomorrow (12/13) and a meeting with the PA from my oncology group after the blood draw. I am still working on appointments with a Hematologist (to help me with my anemia and iron issues) and a Urologic Oncologist (to better understand my Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma (kidney cancer)). I will update here after this week!
