Something exciting happened to me recently. I was writing a blog post and got an email from a magazine called Cure requesting articles. I was in a writing mood so I submitted an article. It got accepted and is coming out soon!
But, the more exciting piece was that, when they accepted my article, they also wrote:
Also, your writing and voice resonated with our audience, so I’d like to extend an invitation to our paid blogging program of writers who frequently share their cancer experience.
So of course I jumped all over it because being a paid writer (or being officially a professional writer) excited me. My first blog post went live yesterday!
I was trying to figure out how to blog for myself here while blogging for Cure. So here is what I decided. I will cut and paste the blog posts on Cure on this site, but I will always link to the Cure post and be transparent that it's running there too.
Anyway, I just wanted to be honest and explain why you might see my posts in more than one place. But for those of you who have been nice enough to subscribe to my blog, the articles will always be posted here too.
Oh, and if you are wondering about the illustration of my face, that's something that Cure does for all of their writers.
